Hi, my name is Steve. I live on the 1000 block of 4th St E with my wife, Jenny and our 3 kids. We've lived here for about 5 years and really love the area so we thought it would be fun to organize a block party and meet some more of our neighbours.

Haultain is a special community in the heart of Saskatoon.

We have a lot of new neighbours and many long-time residents, it would be great for people to have a chance to connect.

I threw the idea out to a few of my fellow neighbours.  They all loved it and got onboard right away, offering food, discounts at their businesses, all kinds of different contributions filtered in.

I took a few days off work to design and print some posters and pop up a little website to get the ball rolling.  The kids helped tape the posters up on over 75 lamp posts in our area and at also local businesses, and we were off and running. 

For the first year, we also did a small 5x7 mailer then just walked around the neighbourhood and slipped them in people's mailboxes.

Plans are in motion for a fun, entertaining and unique event.

If you live in the designated Haultain neighbourhood between Clarence & Munroe, and between Taylor & 8th street, or have ties to the community, please join us for a celebration on July 20th, 2024 from 3:30-9:30pm.
